The Josephine Baker Series:
C. Spot Designs has presented an on-going series of homages to Josephine Baker with reinventions of her costumes. The first in the series premiered at Shanghai Mermaid in April 2010 and was inspired by Lady Baker's "Haiti" number from the 1934 film, "Zou Zou."
May 20th is Josephine Baker Day, as declared by the NAACP in 1951. In honor of the holiday, look forward to a special fashion/costume presentation.
